In Russia, the scandal in Nizhny Novgorod, where 21-year-old Sergey Kornilov, the son of the former head of the car dealer “Luidor Group”, lost control of a yellow Mercedes convertible while drunk and caused a massive accident, reports “Nexta”.
The accident happened on May 21. After the young man collided with several cars, he left the scene and went to a restaurant where he continued to drink. There he recorded a video in which he rudely insults those around him, calling them fools, calls himself the “main character” and openly boasts that money and connections in Russia will protect him from any consequences.
The video quickly spread on social networks, causing strong public outrage.
Currently, four administrative cases have been initiated against Kornilov, the car has been confiscated. However, many Russian users express doubts that the elite young man faces real responsibility, given his family’s wealth and status.
Kornilov’s father, who was one of the biggest car dealers in the region, has died. The family has not yet publicly commented on the incident.
