Augmented medicine: Siemens Healthineers and Mediot AI, a subsidiary of ABA Life, have signed a strategic partnership which will focus in particular on smart hospitals, the interoperability of health systems, AI applied to diagnosis, predictive biomedical maintenance, telehealth and even sovereign health data infrastructures.
Siemens Healthineers and Mediot AI, a subsidiary of ABA Life, announce the signing of a strategic partnership to design and deploy the next generation of artificial intelligence-augmented health infrastructure for Africa and emerging markets. This alliance combines Siemens Healthineers’ global expertise in medical imaging, diagnostics, hospital technologies and biomedical engineering with sovereign artificial intelligence platforms developed by Mediot AI and ABA Technology, including Medifus Health Operating System™, Fusion AI and Fusion Computing System™. The two groups aim to build the technological foundations of tomorrow’s augmented medicine, by developing infrastructures capable of orchestrating, securing and industrializing the use of artificial intelligence at the scale of health establishments, hospital networks and national health systems.
This partnership covers several strategic areas of collaboration, namely: the development of Smart Hospitals natively augmented by artificial intelligence; the interoperability of clinical, biomedical and hospital information systems; artificial intelligence applied to medical imaging, diagnosis and clinical decision support; intelligent and predictive biomedical maintenance. Also included are telehealth, connected medicine and remote monitoring platforms; sovereign health data and medical AI infrastructures as well as the development of specialized intelligent agents for healthcare professionals.
At the heart of this collaboration, Medifus Health Operating System™ constitutes a new generation of digital health infrastructure enabling the integration of medical equipment, clinical data, artificial intelligence models and specialized agents within a secure, interoperable and sovereign environment. The choice of the Kingdom of Morocco as a regional innovation platform reflects the common desire of the two groups to create a reference African hub in the fields of digital health, advanced medical technologies and artificial intelligence applied to medicine.
Through this partnership, Siemens Healthineers and Mediot AI intend to contribute to strengthening the health and digital sovereignty of the African continent by developing trusted infrastructures, capable of hosting and executing secure artificial intelligence models, compliant with international regulatory requirements and adapted to African health realities.
