The Constitutional Court returned the constitution of the institutions to legality after the elections, said political analyst Ilir Deda after today’s decision of the Constitutional Court.
“Also, it ruined the math of the elections for December 27,” says Deda.
“Now that everything is clear, we are waiting to see if there is any possibility of any merger in this situation – the most difficult in the last 15 years.”
The Vetëvendosje movement was accused by some opposition parties of trying to postpone the date of the elections until the end of December when it sees fit.
The Constitution Minister declared the Assembly constituted, but said that it was constituted outside the constitutional deadline. For this reason, the deadline for the President has started to run since August 8.
This term for the election of the president ends on October 6.
