A magical and unusual stage event is expected in the “Mystero” theater and museum of illusion (Riga, Vienības gatve 30) – on May 15, 16 and 17, illusionist Dante Pecolli invites you to his solo show “Magic and Music”. These will be only three special evenings and at the same time the last chance to see the artist in Latvia before he goes to Madrid, where he will study cinematography.
The show “Magic and Music” will be a special and multidimensional stage event, which will combine the art of illusionism and musical performance.
Illusionist Dante Pecolli together with virtuoso Italian accordionist, excellent improviser, musician of various styles and composer Roberto Palermo will create an exciting adventure, where reality will merge with illusion, and sound – with wonder.
During the show, Dante Pecolli will demonstrate diverse and surprising tricks – from mind reading and mystical prophecies to dangerous experiments and visually impressive performances.
On the other hand, accordion melodies will give the performance a theatrical, emotionally saturated and mysterious atmosphere. Roberto Palermo, a student of the world-famous accordionist Renzo Ruggieri, combines technical freedom and musical plasticity in his playing style, giving the accordion sound depth and expressiveness. He has composed and recorded music for many Italian cinema projects, as well as worked in leading Italian theaters. Playing in different genres, Roberto perceives the accordion as a versatile instrument of self-expression and purposefully develops contemporary music.
Spectators also have a special role in this performance – they will be actively involved in what is happening, invited to participate in tasks and even go on stage to experience the inexplicable with their own eyes.
Each evening will become a unique experience created by both artists and spectators.
Also the place of the performance itself – Theater of Illusionism and Museum “Mystero” – becomes part of magic. This unique environment adds an extra dimension to the performance, creating the feeling that miracles are not only happening on the stage, but all around the audience.
“The idea for this show came from my personal connection with music, which I have had since childhood. I perceive it as a universal, magical language that everyone understands. Music is much more than we are aware of on a daily basis – it can not only entertain, but also influence, inspire and even guide human feelings. Therefore, I wanted to create a show after which the audience would feel uplifted, inspired and at the same time truly entertained,” says Dante Pecolli.
“My goal is to create an experience where the audience not only watches, but also participates, because it is their presence that will make each performance different,” says an illusionistrevealing that in his solo performance he combined magic tricks of different genres, theatrical elements from his life, poetry and Italian music. There will also be surprises.
“The collaboration with the accordionist was also chosen deliberately, because this instrument also requires excellent manual dexterity, which symbolically and aesthetically complements the idea of the performance.
Together we will create an atmosphere that will be warm and mysterious at the same time,” promises Dante Pecolli.
The show “Magic and Music” is mainly intended for an adult audience, but it will also be suitable for children from the age of 10 who want to experience something unusual and inspiring. It will give you the opportunity to stop for a moment, disconnect from everyday life and enter a world where the impossible becomes possible.
