Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Aleksandr Yakovchits met with Chairman of the Board of Directors of a major Saudi company Frass Fawaz A. Hadrawi. The talks focused on expanding supplies and developing mutually beneficial cooperation. Belarus’ dairy industry has already achieved notable results in the Saudi market. Over the past three years, several Belarusian dairy processing enterprises have been included in the register of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA). Belarusian producers currently export milk powder, whey and rapeseed oil to Saudi Arabia. In January-April 2026, Belarus’ exports to Saudi Arabia grew almost four times year on year, total shipments to the Gulf countries increased by 8.5%.
A current priority is gaining broader access to the Saudi market for poultry products. Belarus is also actively working to secure access for halal meat products. The parties additionally discussed prospects for butter exports.
“Openness, integrity and discipline are the foundation on which our producers build their work,” Aleksandr Yakovchits said. “If our values coincide, such cooperation is bound to become successful and long-term.”
The Saudi side expressed confidence in Belarus as a reliable and technologically advanced partner. The delegation has scheduled visits to Belarusian meat and dairy processing enterprises and also plans to tour the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation, as Saudi businesses have shown strong interest in specialized animal feed products.
“We appreciate that Belarus is one of the key players in the global food market and came here personally to see the scale of your potential,” Frass Fawaz A. Hadrawi said. “We are interested not only in purchasing meat and dairy products but also in exchanging expertise. We are ready to adopt your know-how in the agricultural sector and further develop this cooperation.”
