Belaili in Mouloudia…a return with a suspended sentence

Youssef Belaili’s return to the Mouloudia Algiers team is close, after the negotiations initiated by the club’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Hakim Hadj Rjem, have made great strides with him, but it is a return that remains postponed unless it fulfills an important and basic condition that goes beyond both parties.

According to informed sources, the demarcation of Belaili’s return to Mouloudia, after two years spent in the Tunisian Esperance colors, depends on the player’s legal status and the possibility of lifting the penalty imposed on him, following the appeal he filed through the Tunisian lawyer, Ali Abbas, with the Court of Arbitration for Sport against the suspension penalty issued against him last March by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), which requires him to be suspended for a full year, after the complaint filed against him by his former French club, Ajaccio, accusing him of forgery to obtain financial benefits amounting to Its value is 380 thousand euros.

Blaili’s defense, which was behind reducing his sentence for consuming banned substances in 2015 by half, is looking to suspend the sentence or overturn it completely so that Ibn Bahia regains his freedom and can fulfill his desire to carry the colors of Mouloudia Algiers again.

Despite the great interest and official statements made by the Mouloudia Oran managers, to confirm their desire to bring back Youssef Belaili next season, the player prefers to return to the ranks of Mouloudia Algiers, and Belaili’s preference for “Bab El Oued” over “Hamri” came in view of his desire to participate, next season, in an African competition, a goal that the “Hamri” team failed to achieve, after missing the opportunity to compete for the third place qualifying for the CAF Cup competition.

In the context of strengthening the team, Hakim Hadj Rjem also negotiated with the top scorer in the second division championship, Ittihad Chaouia striker, Sirimane Konate, who gave his initial approval to join Mouloudia.

All of these data suggest that Hajj Rjem will continue his duties as head of the board of directors of Mouloudia Algiers, even though the owners of the company officials renewed, during a recent meeting with him, their rejection of his request to become a sports director, in order to benefit from the financial privileges enjoyed by sports directors in clubs such as CS Belouizdad and USM Algiers. According to him, the financial privileges are commensurate with the great sacrifices and pressures imposed by the leadership of the most popular club in Algeria.
