Netherlands national team coach Ronald Koeman said that the defeat in the friendly match against the Algerian national team was a warning bell.
In his statements after the match, Koeman added: “The loss may have been a warning bell for us. I saw good aspects in the match, but as I continued to change the lineup, our performance declined.”
He continued: “However, the defense played well, and when Algeria had chances we blocked some of them, but it became clear that it was not a friendly match in the literal sense of the word.”
The Netherlands national team lost in the friendly match that brought it together with the “Greens” on Wednesday evening, at the Rotterdam Stadium, with an unanswered goal, scored by striker Haj Moussa in the 86th minute.
