Beirut (Lebanon) (AFP) – The Lebanese Civil Defense announced on Tuesday that it was able to recover the bodies of six people who were killed in an Israeli raid on the town of Marwaniyah in the south on Monday night.
The Civil Defense said in a statement on Tuesday that its members were able, after search operations since Monday evening, to “recover the bodies of six martyrs and rescue three wounded, who were transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment” after the raid on a “residential building” in the town, which is located about 12 kilometers from the city of Sidon.
The official National News Agency reported an Israeli raid on Monday night on the town of Marwaniyah, several hours after the Israeli army warned residents to evacuate it in the morning.
