At a time when thousands of Albanians have revolted for 26 days and demand the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the latter follows his agenda.
The press office has announced that Prime Minister Rama will participate in the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine, which takes place on June 25-26 in Gdańsk, Poland, with the participation of heads of state and government, international financial institutions, business representatives and civil society organizations from around the world.
“The conference aims to strengthen international support for Ukraine and mobilize investments for the reconstruction and long-term development of the country. Its work will focus on the sectors most affected by Russian aggression, including energy, critical infrastructure and logistics, as well as on strengthening security and defense capacities, considered essential for the reconstruction process,” the announcement states.
Prime Minister Rama will be received by the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, and will participate together with the delegation that accompanies him, in the official opening ceremony of the Conference, where he will then deliver a welcoming speech in its second plenary session.
During his stay in Gdańsk, Prime Minister Rama will hold a series of bilateral meetings with counterparts, as well as with the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos.
As part of the agenda, the Prime Minister will also meet with leaders of international companies, including representatives of the energy and investment sector, with a focus on promoting economic cooperation and new development opportunities.
The Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine serves as the main international platform for the coordination of political, financial and economic support to Ukraine, bringing together public and private actors for the long-term recovery and transformation of the country.
