In Tajikistan, in January–April 2026, the total volume of agricultural products in all categories of farms amounted to 7.6 billion somoni. Compared to the same period last year, the figure increased by 7.1% in comparable prices.
This is said in the report Statistics Agency “Socio-economic situation of the Republic of Tajikistan” for January–April 2026.
Livestock production made the main contribution to agricultural growth. The volume of production in this industry amounted to 6.6 billion somoni, an increase of 8.4% compared to January–April 2025.
At the same time, a decline was recorded in crop production. The volume of production amounted to 928.2 million somoni, which is 1.7% less than the same period last year.
According to operational data from the Ministry of Agriculture, as of May 30, 2026, almost 10.5 thousand tons of fruits, 32 thousand tons of potatoes, about 265 thousand tons of vegetables and over 12 thousand tons of melons were harvested in Tajikistan.
