After hurtling down the slope, the cargo vehicle ended up partially buried in the sand. The location where the unit was left prevented it from continuing its descent to the sea, which could have further aggravated the consequences of the accident.

The Traffic Police began investigations to determine the exact circumstances that caused the collision between both trailers on one of the most dangerous stretches of the busy highway.
