The Annaba Union administration announced, through the club’s official page, that it had begun taking administrative measures against the team’s players, due to what it described as “the unjustified and suspicious mass absence” from training, ahead of the expected match against Mouloudia Bejaia at Colonel Chabou Stadium.
The administration explained that, yesterday, Friday, it sent an official correspondence to the National Amateur Football League and the Algerian Football Federation, to notify the competent bodies of the unjustified absence of senior players from the resumption of training session, and their failure to join the club headquarters in preparation for the next confrontation, within the penultimate round of the Second Amateur League (Central-East).
This match is of great importance for Mouloudia Bejaia, which is seeking to collect points and enhance its chances of playing the card to advance to the first professional division, through the qualifying positions for the “playoff” tournament.
The club’s management added, in a statement addressed to local public opinion and the team’s supporters, that it had made every effort to convince the players to return to training, through the club’s president and technical staff communicating with them, but these efforts failed due to collective rejection. She also indicated that she offered an attractive financial grant to motivate the players to play the match, but that did not change their position.
The administration concluded its statement by expressing its astonishment at this collective position, which raises more than one question mark about its background, stressing that it spared no effort to ensure good preparation for the match.
