A 16-year-old minor was apprehended in the town of Los Mártires in possession of a modified fragmentation grenade.
The operation was carried out after a chase that culminated inside a hotel, where the teenager tried to hide from the authorities.
The events were recorded on 17th Street and 14th Street, a sector where CAI Paloquemao personnel carried out registration and control tasks.

During the procedure, the radio station alerted the uniformed officers about a young man who had a suspicious attitude in the area, a report that originated from a call from the public.
Upon noticing the presence of the surveillance patrol, the minor immediately fled and entered a property in the area.

The police requested prior authorization from the administrator of the establishment, which functioned as a hotel, to be able to enter and carry out the respective search.
With the technical support of the security cameras installed in the place, the uniformed officers managed to track and locate the teenager inside the hotel. During the personal search procedure, the authorities found the modified explosive device.
The teenager was left at the disposal of the administrative authority along with the seized grenade.
