The Vocational Training Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding with the General Union of Charitable Societies, with the aim of expanding areas of cooperation in vocational training and community development.
The Foundation’s Director General, Raafat Al-Sawafin, said that the memorandum aims to implement joint vocational training programs in all governorates, identify the needs of local communities and link them to appropriate professional specializations, and implement specialized workshops in entrepreneurship, future skills, and modern specializations, in a way that keeps pace with the changing labor market requirements and contributes to enhancing paths of economic empowerment and sustainable development.
Al-Sawafin stressed the importance of this partnership in supporting economic empowerment efforts and raising the efficiency of individuals in various governorates, noting that vocational training programs are no longer limited to the local labor market only, but have now extended to regional and international labor markets, most notably the German and Italian markets, which reflects the development of training outcomes and their ability to compete.
He stressed the need to reorganize and activate cooperation with charitable societies, and distribute training efforts in an organized manner among the governorates, while preparing a road map that identifies the needs of associations and local communities, ensuring that training programs are directed towards the specializations that are most in demand and have a direct development impact.
President of the General Union of Charitable Societies, Amer Al-Khawaldeh, said that this partnership represents an important step towards linking the needs of associations with appropriate training programs, which contributes to achieving sustainable community development and raising the efficiency of beneficiaries in various regions of the Kingdom.
He pointed out the importance of the role played by the Vocational Training Foundation in empowering individuals and qualifying them for the labor market, noting that the General Union constitutes a pioneering national umbrella for organizing and developing charitable work, as it includes a large number of associations in various regions of the Kingdom, and contributes to enhancing volunteer work and community service.
Vice President of the General Union of Charitable Societies, President of the Capital Union, lawyer Dr. Barakat Barakat, President of the Karak Union, Maan Al-Shamayleh, President of the Irbid Union, Salah Al-Zoubi, President of the Aqaba Union, Moawad Al-Mazna, President of the Jerash Union, Zaid Al-Zobun, and President of the Ajloun Union, Melki Bani Atta, pointed out the importance of this step in enhancing participatory work between training institutions and charitable societies, which reflects positively on local development and empowering communities.
At the end of the meeting, which was attended by the Director General of the General Federation, Khalil Al Qubaisi, the Director of Federations and Associations, Reham Amayreh, the Projects Manager, Shatha Qtaishat, and a number of staff from the Vocational Training Foundation, the two parties exchanged honorary shields.
