Under the slogan “Loyalty to the People of Giving,” and based on the values of appreciation for the efforts of nation builders, the Basira Municipality on Saturday honored its cadres of field workers, the “Knights of the Field,” in a gesture of honor that coincided with International Workers’ Day, and in appreciation of their pivotal role in preserving the distinct cultural and environmental aspect of the region.
The head of the Basira Municipality Committee, Engineer Nisreen Al-Rubaie, confirmed during the event that the worker is the strategic partner and the first in achieving any institutional success, noting that this honor represents a consistent approach of the administration in caring for the rights of employees and taking pride in their field achievements that touch the details of citizens’ lives on a daily and direct basis.
Al-Rubai sent a “thank you card” in pride of the workers’ generosity, which contributes radically to raising the level of services provided to the local community.
For his part, the Vice Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Imad Abu Hammam, described the field cadres as the “backbone” of municipal work, praising their high dedication to working under various difficult weather and field conditions.
Abu Hammam stressed that Basira is proud of these soldiers who ensure the comfort of the people of the region and ensure the continuity of basic services efficiently and competently.
The meeting included a direct and open dialogue between the management and the workers, during which Engineer Al-Rubaie listened to their professional aspirations and needs, stressing that the municipality will remain the “umbrella and supporter” for every hardworking worker and employee, in a step aimed at strengthening the spirit of one team and deepening the values of institutional affiliation, which will reflect positively on the quality of field performance in all neighborhoods and streets of the district.
