In a majestic national scene that carried the connotations and symbolism of the state, the speech of His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II during the graduation ceremony of the first batch of the 2026 Science Service Program constituted a turning point that went beyond the boundaries of the celebratory occasion into the space of the deep national vision.

The speech included strategic contents that reflect the Jordanian state’s orientation towards reformulating the concept of national preparedness and building the human being as the basic pillar of security and development, in light of accelerating regional transformations and mounting challenges that require collective awareness and constant preparation for a more complex and responsible future.

The Crown Prince’s speech came to confirm that soldiering is not just a rank, but rather a spirit of belonging to something greater than oneself, in a clear message that redefines the concept of military service as a system of values and behavior and not just a temporary task.

His Highness focused on transferring the concept of soldiering from its traditional framework to a broader space that includes various aspects of life, stressing that discipline, commitment and responsibility must be a daily approach for every citizen and that this proposal reflects a shift in Jordanian military thought, where soldiering is no longer limited to carrying weapons, but rather has become a national behavior that enhances performance in all state institutions.

In a deep and realistic reading of the regional environment, the Crown Prince pointed out that the region is going through a delicate stage that requires high awareness and national solidarity, indicating that Jordan will remain strong through its unity and stability. The speech reflected an advanced understanding of the concept of comprehensive security. The citizen becomes an essential partner in protecting the homeland and not just a recipient of security.

Perhaps one of the most prominent aspects of the speech was His Highness’s assertion that Jordan’s strength lies in its people despite limited resources, calling for investment in education, skills and innovation, and that the Crown Prince’s message that he addressed is consistent with the global transformations in which countries are now measured by their ability to build human capital and not by the resources they possess alone.

Military expert, retired Lieutenant General Ali Salama Al-Khalidi, said that the Crown Prince’s message was direct and clear, as His Highness stressed continuous change and development to keep pace with changes, indicating that this proposal reflects a clear trend towards modernizing state institutions, including the military institution, to be more flexible and capable of dealing with modern challenges.

Al-Khalidi continued, His Highness emphasized the pivotal role of youth, as the Crown Prince addressed them as the strength and pillar of the nation, calling on them to assume responsibility and contribute actively to building the future, indicating that the Science Service Program constitutes a practical platform for preparing a generation that possesses the skills of discipline, teamwork, and leadership, in a way that enhances their opportunities in the labor market and serves the national economy.

While the military expert, retired Colonel Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Kafawin, pointed out that reading the speech of His Highness Prince Hussein is described as a national road map that establishes a new phase based on strengthening the concept of comprehensive soldiering.

Consolidating national security in its broad sense, in addition to calling for investment in people and youth while moving forward with the required modernization and development

He added that the speech was not only directed to the graduates, but rather a message to all Jordanians that the next stage requires collective awareness, awareness, and shared responsibility, to build a strong Jordan capable of facing challenges and creating opportunities.
