The candidate for mayor of Asunción for Honor Colorado, Camilo Pérez, admitted that the ANR has abandoned the people of Bath for years. However, he insists that they are “the change” despite the seven years of Chartism in the commune. He also required two municipal unions that each official bring five votes.

The candidate for mayor of Asunción for the Honor Colorado movement, Camilo Perezattended the launch of Richard Reichardt’s council campaign, in a hotel. The internal party elections are on June 7 and the municipal elections on October 4.

During his speech, Pérez asked Reichardt to work to improve the lives of the people of Bath. He indicated that his visit to section No. 34 affected him.

“As I walk along the entire city shore, I say, gentlemen, Why do we abandon our Asuncenos so much? And I’m not talking about now, here there is an abandonment from many years ago, which we have to reclaim with a lot of work. And the Colorado Party is the party that always marks the change,” he said.

Pérez thus affirmed that from Honor Colorado “they are the change” despite the fact that Chartism supported Oscar “Nenecho” Rodríguez (ANR, HC) after the resignation of Mario Ferreiro (PRF) in 2019 and also in the 2021 municipal elections until he “let go of his hand” with the intervention of his management in June 2025.

“I was in section 34, a long-suffering section, of the bathing, and I can really tell you how the city of Asunción needs us,” he said.

At another point, Pérez was honest about the pace of the electoral campaign. “We are eight weeks away from the elections and now we no longer sleep, we work twice as hard,” he said and added “I am working day by day, sun up to sun down, it starts very early, my day ends very late, but with great enthusiasm and a lot of pride.”

He asked that everyone present speak to everyone they know and ask for votes for Reichardt.

    Ask officials for votes

Previous days, Pérez also met with representatives and leaders of the Workers’ Union of the Municipality of Asunción (SIOMA) and SITRATOMA in section 35, the councilman’s fiefdom. Marcelo Centurión (ANR, HC) who is looking for the rekutú, where he asked each attendee to speak to five people and get their votes to win the internal elections.

“Every day that passes, we already feel the victory in our tour of the city of Asunción. For this meeting to really be useful, each of you has to talk to one, two, three, five co-workers, to tell them that our cause is really the right cause,” he said to those present.

“We did not come to beat, and we came to win, and not the internal one, the general one,” he asserted.
