Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainian drones could target the May 9 parade in Moscow, one of the important events organized annually by the Kremlin, according to Kyiv Post and Next.
The claim was made at the opening of the 8th Summit of the European Political Communityheld in Yerevan.
“Russia has announced a parade on May 9, but there will be no military equipment at this parade”, Zelensky said.
The leader from Kyiv added that “it will be the first time in many, many years that they cannot afford the presence of armaments on parade.”
The Ukrainian president followed up with a direct warning.
“Ukrainian drones can also hit this parade. This shows that they are not as strong as before”Zelensky also said.

His statements in contextl a new drone attack on Moscow, produced on Monday morning. According to the Russian authorities, a drone hit an apartment block in the west of the capital, damaging several apartments and causing debris to fall in the area.
The mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, announced that there were no casualties, stating that the impact took place near Mosfilmovskaya street, around 1:00 am. Emergency services immediately responded to the scene.
Russian channels on Telegram, including Mash, stated that the strike affected a large building, where “the walls of three rooms on the 36th floor were destroyed”and part of the facade collapsed onto a parked car. The building is located approximately 6 kilometers from the Kremlin, according to the publication Astra,
Sergei Sobianin also announced that Russian air defense intercepted two other drones heading towards the capital, without specifying the exact locations.
The incident is part of a series of Ukrainian drone attacks on Moscow since early May. On May 3, the mayor reported the interception of eight drones, which led to temporary disruptions to air traffic.
In his speech in Yerevan, Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that this summer could be decisive for the evolution of the conflict, suggesting that Russia will be forced to choose between escalation and diplomacy.
