With the purpose of promoting a more conscious, informed and empathetic society, Hill Center The educational and community day was inaugurated “Voices along the Road: Breaking the Silence”, an initiative aimed at making visible, preventing and transforming realities related to domestic violence, incest and child abuse.
The program includes a broad cycle of talks, twindows and spaces for reflection, developed andn collaboration with institutions such as the Conani, the Ministry of Women, Deamvi, he Ministry of the Interior and Police, the Public Ministryas well as mental health specialists.
Topics include prevention of child abuse, identification of warning signs, mental health, domestic violence, and guidance on support networks in the Dominican Republic.
The day held in the shopping center’s event hall will be extended until April 24 where An agenda with topics aimed at students, teachers, families and the general public will be exhausted.
During the opening ceremony, Ivonne Mañón de Rizek, director of social responsibility Hill Center, He highlighted that this initiative seeks “break the barriers of fear and silence, promoting concrete tools that allow identifying, prevent and act in situations of abuse.”

The meeting also integrates art as a tool for social awareness, through an exhibition of sculptures by the Dominican artist Clara Herrera de Lama.
