Ulaanbaatar, April 17, 2026 /MONTSAME/. At the
Asian Judo Championships currently taking place in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China, Mongolian judokas won 2 gold and 1 bronze medal on the first day.
Anudari J. (48 kg) won gold, defeating opponents from
Kazakhstan, Vietnam, India, and Uzbekistan. At 19, she became the youngest
Asian champion in this category and brought Mongolia its 13th women’s gold in
the event. Nandin-Erdene M. (52 kg) also won gold, beating judokas from
Japan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, earning Mongolia’s 14th women’s gold medal. Tumenjargal T. (60 kg) won bronze, which is his first medal
at the Asian Championships.
Mongolia is currently leading the medal standings with 2
gold and 1 bronze.
