Ulaanbaatar, April 17, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The 3rd
Mongolia Film Festival is taking place In Busan, South Korea for the third year
with the support of the Mongolian National Film Council under the Ministry of
Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth, the “Hannarae” Cultural Foundation and the
Consulate General of Mongolia in Busan, South Korea.
The event was opened on April 16 at the Busan Cinema Center
with the documentary “The Guardian of the Great Gobi” director by Gan-Ochir E.
The ceremony was attended by the Mongolian Consul in Busan Jadambaa
Ts., Film Council’s member Tsengel D., President of the Hannarae Cultural
Foundation Shim Sang, Director of Busan Cinema Center Ko In-Beom, and Busan Chamber of Commerce
President Yang Jae-saeng. They highlighted the importance of strengthening
cultural ties between the two countries.
During the three-day event, audiences are watching Mongolian
films “The Guardian of the Great Gobi,” “Father” by Battulga S., “Mother-in-Law”
by Tavanbayar L., and “The Way to Marriage” by Nyamjargal E. There will also be
meetings between filmmakers and audiences.
