The fire prevention, fighting and rescue police division under the municipal Department of Public Security said on Saturday night that at around 2:30 pm the same day, it received an alert that a man had accidentally fallen into a well in Dong Hoa Long Quarter, Tam Long Ward.
The division quickly mobilized vehicles, personnel, and specialized rescue equipment to the scene.
However, reaching the victim proved difficult.
The well was located deep within farmland, where rough terrain forced rescuers to continue on foot for a considerable distance before accessing the site.
At the scene, rescuers found a high-walled well situated next to a fence, with an estimated depth of about 35 meters and containing water at the bottom.
The rescue team set up a rope-and-pulley system before lowering themselves into the well to stabilize the victim, provide oxygen, and secure him for the lift out.
After roughly one hour of coordinated efforts, the man was successfully brought to the surface in stable condition.
He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation and further treatment.
