The icon of the Madonnina donated by the International Madonnina Centaurs Club of Alessandria was delivered to the Sanctuary of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in San Marino
SAN MARINO – Historic day for the San Marino Automobile Club. The organization has officially joined the international Moto Club circuit, becoming the seventh country to join the network. On May 3, 2026, a delegation from the International Club arrived in San Marino to formalize the entry of the awaited icon.
The event was sealed by a religious ceremony at the Sanctuary of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in San Marino celebrated for the occasion by the Bishop of San Marino and Montefeltro SE Domenico Beneventi who in an interesting homily recalled the commitment to pursuing one’s goals through the sense of travel (journey of our life).
The Secretaries of State Marco Gatti and Andrea Belluzzi were present at the Holy function. Present were the President of the San Marino Automobile Club Fabio Temeroli and other personalities such as Giancarlo Venturini and Fulvio Bianco President of the “International Club Madonnina dei Centauri”, an icon which is a pilgrimage destination for motorcyclists from all over the world at the Sanctuary of Castellazzo Bormida (AL) dedicated to her.
On the occasion of the entry, the international organization donated a copy of the original icon depicting the Madonnina dei Centauri, a symbol of protection for all motorcyclists.
The work has been officially delivered to the Sanctuary of Borgo Maggiore and will soon be placed there for the joy of all motorcyclists.
Entry into the international circuit is an important recognition for our country and for all members, declared the ACS president “The donation of the Madonnina and its placement in the Sanctuary give an even deeper meaning to this day.
It is a symbol of unity, tradition and security that will accompany our future commitment. Membership opens up new opportunities for international collaboration on issues of mobility, road safety, motorcycle tourism and protection of historical motoring heritage.
