On the occasion of the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu wrote a post on his Facebook page, stressing that Armenia’s sovereignty is not subject to discussion.
“In Marseille, 111 years after the Armenian Genocide, France remembers. Genocide. A crime against humanity. More than a million children, women and men were killed. But this does not erase anything. neither the greatness of the people, nor the beauty of the language and culture, nor the memory that continues to be passed down here in Marseilles.
Faithful to its history, France supports Armenia, its defense and peace. His sovereignty is not subject to discussion,” he wrote.
As well as giving a speech on the occasion of the Armenian Genocide in Marseille, he stated:
“French weapons enter Armenia so that the country can defend itself. French soldiers are training the Armenian military. The history of relations between our two peoples has a history of thousands of years, the friendship between our two countries has been strengthened.
