SAN MARINO – The official ceremony for the awarding of the degree took place today in the historic setting of Palazzo Begni Commander of the Equestrian Order of Saint Agatha to Nicola BaroneAmbassador Extraordinary Envoy of the Republic of San Marino and President of TIM San Marino.
The awarding of the rank of Commander of the Equestrian Order of Sant’Agata represents one of the highest recognitions of the Republicawarded to personalities who have distinguished themselves for special merits towards the State and the community.
The prestigious recognition was conferred through the delivery of the Master’s Degree by of the Secretary of State for Finance and Budget Marco Gattiwho in his speech underlined not only Barone’s high professional and managerial value, but also his profound institutional and diplomatic commitment as a promoter of dialogue, cooperation and peace between cultures and religious confessions.
During the ceremony it was highlighted as the guide of Nicola Barone has contributed significantly not only to the modernization of telecommunications infrastructures and the strengthening of international connectivity, but also to the promotion of the image of the Republic of San Marino as A technologically advanced country and, at the same time, an active protagonist of the dialogue between faiths and cultures.
The ceremony took place in the presence of important religious and academic authorities. Among the guests present: HE Monsignor Domenico Beneventi, Bishop of the Diocese of San Marino-Montefeltro; Corrado Petrocelli, Rector of the University of San Marino; Don Marco Mazzanti, Director of the Salesian order; Simona Zanotto, CEO of Tim San Marino; Fabrizio Colaceci, Ambassador of Italy to San Marino; The journalist Osvaldo Bevilacqua; the artist Fabio Vettori and Renato Trinco, President of UNCI.
