SAN MARINO – The San Marino Agricultural Fair opened yesterday and will last until tomorrow. The event confirms itself as one of the most awaited moments by the San Marino community, proposing itself as a meeting point between producers, companies and experts in the agricultural sector, with the aim of promoting local specialties and disseminating the most recent innovations in the sector, with particular attention to the sustainability and quality of the agri-food supply chain.
“Events like the Agricultural Fair are very important for our community – declared the Secretary of State Matteo Ciacci – because they allow us to know and rediscover our roots, but also to concretely enhance local products and the work of our agricultural businesses”.
The rich and varied programme, for all three days, will offer the opportunity to taste typical local products, visit exhibition stands and take part in numerous activities. Among the most anticipated events, on Friday evening the traditional “Lamburgherata”, with burgers made with meat from the Cooperativa Allevatori Sanmarinesi and bread produced with local flours, accompanied by country blues music. On Saturday and Sunday there will be space for the “Terra di San Marino” restaurant, with the best of San Marino’s gastronomic tradition, as well as an ever wider and more evocative display of historic and modern agricultural vehicles.
Great attention will also be paid to families and young people, with numerous educational workshops, including “The vegetable garden” curated by UGRAA, creative activities and the possibility for the little ones to have experiences in contact with animals, including pony rides. The parade will also return on Sunday afternoon “We dress… in the peasant style”a competition dedicated to schools in the Republic, designed to bring new generations closer to the agricultural world and the traditions of the area.
“The Agricultural Fair represents a source of great pride for us – underlined the President of the Terra di San Marino Consortium, Aida Maria Adele Selva – because we managed once again to organize an event so heartfelt by the San Marino community. It is important to remember that the event will be completely free, both for entry and for the workshops.”
The 2026 edition also looks decisively at innovation and sustainability, strengthening the link between the past and future of San Marino agriculture and promoting new development opportunities for the sector.
To facilitate access to the event, it will also be possible to use the SMUVI on-call public transport service, which will allow citizens to comfortably reach the Fair, contributing to more sustainable and efficient mobility.
