Dan Barna, after the AUR-PSD alliance: “A month ago, European socialists told Grindeanu clearly and bluntly: no alliances with extremists”

Dan Barna accuses the Social Democratic Party of political hypocrisy, arguing that the approach to the Alliance for the Union of Romanians through the no-confidence motion contradicts the pro-European commitments assumed at the level of the Party of European Socialists and risks destabilizing Romania’s political direction.

“The hypocrisy P.S.D: Married to the European Socialist Party in Brussels, but with a mistress GOLD in Bucharest. How much can it bother the pocket of party a government reformist? How deep can the toxic web be a P.S.D in every corner of the Romanian state? Starting today, these questions have an even scarier answer than yesterday,” says Barna, referring to the alliance between AUR and PSD.

Barna refers to the fact that the European Socialists were asking the PSD leader not to make an alliance with the AUR.

“A month ago, the European socialists told Grindeanu clearly and bluntly: no alliances with the extremists. Furthermore, they issued a joint press release in which they assumed that “together, PES and PSD categorically reject any alliance with the extreme right, committing instead to a stable, pro-European government that rigorously supports these democratic principles”.

Since then, the PSD dynamited the “stable, pro-European government”, withdrew its ministers from the Government, but left its files and mistresses in their posts, and announced that it is submitting a joint censure motion with the AUR against the Bolojan Executive.

And the candy on Romania’s cage: Marian Neacșu said alongside Petrișor Peiu, when asked by the press if there is a PSD-AUR government, that “every road begins with the first step”, reports the MEP USR.

Barna is of the opinion that the road on which the two parties started “leads straight to the pit”.
