The expanded segment of the Tirana-Durres highway up to the Rinas overpass has been fully opened, while work will soon begin on the continuation of the axis towards Durres.
Prime Minister Edi Rama, together with the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Enea Karakaçin, inspected this open road segment.
“Here we are on the Tirana-Durrës highway, which is definitely the busiest highway in Albania. It is the union of three phases, about 7 km contracted on this road. Here we are in the first kilometers and end at the 6th kilometer, at the exit to Rinas.
Two more lanes have been added. We definitely make an increase in category A, but we have talked about the green corridors that can reduce the speed a little”, said Karakaçi, among other things.
