Dangerous driving: Kranj police are asking for help
In Kranj, in the area of Gornjesavska and Stara cesta and on the slope towards Zlate Polje, last Thursday early morning, the driver of a gray Opel Corsa was endangering other road users by driving. The police are already conducting proceedings against the driver, and in order to clarify the circumstances, they are calling for information from those involved in the incident.
On April 23, around 5:50 a.m., the Kranj police were informed that the driver of a gray Opel Corsa from the Kranj registration area was endangering other road users by driving.
According to the data collected so far, the driver drove along the Gorenjesavska cesta to the roundabout and endangered other drivers by driving through it incorrectly. He then continued along Savska cesta towards Zlate Polje and, while driving up the slope, by swerving and overtaking, he endangered other road users, especially drivers who were driving correctly from the opposite direction. According to witnesses, they should have braked and moved to the far right to avoid a collision.
The police are conducting proceedings against the driver on suspicion of committing a crime under the chapter on crimes against the safety of public transport.
In order to clarify all the circumstances, the Kranj police administration urges drivers who have been threatened by the driver’s actions, as well as potential witnesses or eyewitnesses, to come forward or call the Kranj police station or call 113 or the anonymous police number 080 1200.
