On Tuesday, two boys on a toboggan collided head-on with a car in Qasigiannguit. The police also state that a man has been hospitalized as a result of an ammonia spill in Nuuk.
A person is injured and still hospitalized in Nuuk after yesterday’s ammonia spill at Blue Water in Nuuk.
This is what duty manager Jeppe Andsager tells Sermitsiaq on Wednesday morning.
According to the warden, a total of three people were seen at the hospital after the spill, and one has thus been injured and remains hospitalized. The police received a report about the case at 09.17 Tuesday morning.
Jeppe Andsager goes on to say that the spill happened during work to dismantle a plant, where craftsmen sawed a pipe to a tank which should have been empty. It wasn’t, and that’s where the spill happened.
The fire service has been out to contain the spill by fitting a sleeve and thus covering the sawn-over pipe again.
The Norwegian Working Environment Authority is also involved in the case, as it is an occupational accident.
