Dominica’s 2026 Creole season is set to extend well beyond a single weekend, with a packed calendar of cultural, musical, culinary and community activities scheduled from October 3 to November 4.
The programme will feature a wide range of events across the island, culminating in the celebrations surrounding Dominica’s 26th World Creole Music Festival (WCMF), scheduled for October 23–25 at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.
The season opens on October 3 with the Belles Combo Benefit Concert in Mahaut, followed by the Flavours of the World Festival on October 4
and the President’s Charities Foundation Fundraising Dinner on October 10.
Other October highlights include NDFD Creole in the Streets on October 16, Rize N Shine and Heritage Day on October 18, and Ti-Vilaj Kweyol: Tout Biten Dominik from October 19–22 at the Botanic Gardens. The programme also includes the Miss Wob Dwiyet competition, White Sunday in Dominica and Independence Gospel
activities.
Music and cultural celebrations will take centre stage from October 23–25, when the World Creole Music Festival returns to Windsor Park.
The calendar also features the Prime Breakfast in Morne Daniel on October 23, Pour Decisions Brunch on October 24, Kweyol Bod La Mer
on October 25, and the Bwè Dominik Fest from October 26–30 at Le Village Beach Club in Canefield. Other activities include the GEMS
Artisan Market on October 28–29 and Madam Wob Dwiyet on October 28 at the Massacre Indoor Facility.
The final stretch of the season will feature the premiere of “Rebel & Jango” on October 29, Creole Day and the launch of Mas Dominik 2027
on October 30, followed by Fete La Pwent from October 30 to November 1, Wato Dominica on October 31, and the Ediflor Creole Edition in Giraudel on November 1.
The programme will conclude with the Cultural Gala at the Botanic Gardens, Independence Day celebrations at Windsor Park Sports Stadium on November 3, and Community Day of Service on November 4.
