Laura Lennert Jensen releases his first song under his own name on 23 October. It will be a remake of “Unganeq”, which their mother and aunt recorded 30 years ago.
– My mother recorded it while she was pregnant with me, so the song has followed me throughout my life, says Laura Lennert Jensen, who has chosen a slower tempo for her re-recording of the song, which has lyrics by Henrik Brummerstedt and melody by Emil Serubabelsen.

In the spring, Laura’s aunt found the original, handwritten text in her attic. It contains two verses that were not included on the first release. Laura Lennert Jensen has included them in her version, which is entitled »Eqqaalara / Unganeq«.
Their mother and aunt also appear on the remake as chorus singers, and the music is produced by Athena Lings.
– It really feels like a full circle moment to be able to release the song together with them, writes Laura Lennert Jensen on her Facebook page.
