The president of Quito League, Isaac Alvarezwas appointed president of the Conmebol Finance Commission during the 82nd Ordinary Congress of the body, in a decision adopted unanimously by the member associations.
The election took place within the framework of the congress held in Quito, where the Ecuadorian leader received the endorsement of nine South American federations to join this strategic commission.
The Finance Commission plays a fundamental role within Conmebol, since it is in charge of the organization’s economic planning, budget supervision, investment control and monitoring of the financial sustainability of continental competitions.
With this appointment, Álvarez assumes a key role in the administrative structure of Conmebol, influencing economic decisions and reinforcing the leadership presence of Ecuador at the regional level. (D)
