A major traffic accident was reported on the night of this Saturday, May 2, at km 25 of the Papallacta-Baeza road.
At the site, a tanker truck and a light vehicle collided.
The first vehicle reported damage to the left front area and the car had severe damage to a large part of the body.
Personnel from the Quito and Quijos Fire Department collaborated in this emergency. ECU911 coordinated the teams’ assistance. Units from the Ministry of Health and the Police also joined.
At the scene, firefighters provided pre-hospital assistance to three affected people.
However, at the same time, three people died as a result of the strong impact.
As a preventive measure, the road was partially enabled to facilitate the work of emergency teams. (YO)
