In a press conference, after the proclamation of the winning presidential formula, Burneo explained that the electoral body advanced the general proclamation of results to July 3, when it was initially scheduled between July 7 and 12.
“We have anticipated the proclamation of the second presidential election to July 3. We had planned it between July 7 and 12, optimizing the times, and also We have formally indicated that we will deliver the credentials this July 15 at noon at the National Theater of Lima”he pointed out.
The head of the JNE indicated that, with the official proclamation, the Executive power You can now begin the management transfer process, in accordance with the deadlines established in current regulations.
“The Executive can now begin the respective transfer process. According to the control standard, it has three days to be installed from the proclamation. So this guarantees that I can do it with enough time to be able to successfully complete this work.”he stated.
Likewise, he maintained that the deadline will allow the transfer process to be carried out within a reasonable time before the change of government.
“Those who have worked on transfer issues know very well that It is a reasonable time to be able to finish this entire process and with it we also complete an important stage of the General Elections”he stated.
Burneo added that, in parallel, the National Election Jury continues with the organization of the Regional and Municipal Elections and recalled that voting day is scheduled for October 4.
