Approximately 40 percent of the jewelry that the Swedish Chemicals Agency previously examined contained prohibited substances.
“Since they are worn directly against the skin for a long time, it is concerning,” says Johanna Lindberg, inspector at the Swedish Chemicals Agency, in a press release.
Lead and banned phthalates are commonly found in toys. Nickel, lead and cadmium are often found in jewelry – substances that can affect fertility, cause allergies and in some cases increase the risk of cancer.

Be careful with slime toys, soft plastic, and cheap electrical products from unknown brands.
First and foremost, choose jewelry made from genuine metals and don’t sleep with fake jewelry.
Choose toys from reputable manufacturers and be careful with cheap trend products.
