“It’s a disaster. In the country’s highest league, we should be able to have higher demands,” Häcken’s club manager Marcus Jodin told Aftonbladet.
Once the match could go ahead, it was an even affair between the second- and third-place teams.
The score remained 2–2 until the 78th minute, when Thelma Pálmadóttir scored the decisive 3–2 goal for Häcken, giving the away team three points to take home to Gothenburg.
The match was first moved from Uppsala’s regular home field, Studenternas IP, because artificial turf was being laid at the arena. It was relocated to Pitch B at Löten’s sports field, but the referees rejected the pitch.
With minutes left until the scheduled kick-off time, it was clear the match would have to change venue again. The match was moved to Bälinge IP, and the kick-off time was postponed by 75 minutes.
Felicia Schröder was listed on Häcken’s bench but did not play following her record move to Real Madrid.
