BORISOV DISTRICT, 25 June (BelTA) – Investment cooperation between Belarus and Russia is at its peak, Belarusian Deputy Economy Minister Mariya Mazhinskaya said at a meeting of the breakout session Regional Policy as Key to Sustainable Development of the Union State at the 13th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia at the BELGEE enterprise on 25 June, BelTA has learned.
According to Mariya Mazhinskaya, by the end of 2025, the Belarusian-Russian investment had reached $10.6 billion, growing by 12% compared to 2024. “This is the highest figure ever recorded. An additional boost to investment activity in Belarus’ regions has come from the head of state’s initiative One District, One Project. Under this initiative, 152 projects have already been completed, creating 6,500 jobs in the regions. Some of these projects were implemented with Russian capital involvement, including the production of metal structures and climate control equipment in Gomel, the manufacture of welding materials in Svetlogorsk, and the production of pharmaceuticals in Smolevichi District, among others,” she added.
