Bir Lahlou (Sahrawi Republic), June 25, 2026 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Ibrahim Ghali, sent a message of congratulations to the President of the Republic of Mozambique, Mr. Daniel Francisco Chapo, and the Mozambican people, on the occasion of the fifty-first anniversary of the country’s independence.
In his message, President Ibrahim Ghali expressed his warmest congratulations and sincere best wishes on behalf of the Sahrawi people and government, stressing the depth of the historical relations between the Sahrawi and Mozambican peoples, which go back to the common struggle for freedom, liberation from colonialism, and the fight against foreign domination.
The Sahrawi President noted that the common values and principles shared by the Sahrawi Republic and Mozambique continue to enhance coordination and cooperation between the two countries in order to achieve a fully independent Africa free of all forms of colonialism and domination.
President Ibrahim Ghali also expressed the Sahrawi Republic’s satisfaction with the strength of the bilateral relations between the two countries, praising the strong historical ties that unite the two national liberation movements, the Polisario Front and the Frelimo movement, in addition to the distinguished relations between the two governments and the two brotherly peoples.
The Sahrawi President renewed his appreciation for these historical relations, wishing the Mozambican people further success, prosperity, progress and stability under the leadership of President Daniel Francisco Chapo.
