Environmental protection: The National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) is continuing, for the 2026 summer season, its action in favor of the preservation of the Moroccan coastline through the sponsorship of 10 beaches, as part of the “Clean Beaches” operation initiated by the Mohammed VI Foundation for environmental protection.
A partner in this operation since 1999, ONEE deploys each year a system covering, in particular, the control of the quality of bathing water, the development and maintenance of reception infrastructures, awareness of environmental protection as well as the organization of educational and civic activities for the benefit of summer visitors, indicates the Office in a press release.
From the north to the south of the Kingdom, ONEE operates on the beaches of Moulay Bousselham, Mehdia, Bouznika, Zenata, Ain Diab, El Oualidia, Aglou as well as on the beaches of Oum Labouir, Trouk and Al Kandil in Dakhla, the press release added.
In this context, ONEE ensures the installation, maintenance and management of equipment intended to improve the welcome and comfort of summer visitors, in particular sanitary blocks, spaces dedicated to first aid, local authorities and the care of lost children, as well as facilities facilitating access for people with specific needs.
