A TEENAGER was shot in his head last night at Wharf Trace, Maracas Valley, St Joseph.
He has been identified as, Kevell Callender, 17.
Police said that around 11 p.m. a woman, 38 was at home when she heard a gunshot. She thought little of it but then heard people outside her home calling on her to come out.
She walked outside and saw her son, Callender lying on the roadway near to a shop with a gunshot to his head.
With help from her husband, she took the boy to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope where he remained being treated up to this afternoon but was said to be in critical condition.
Police were unable to arrive at a motive.
