The head of the Royal Hashemite Court, Yousef Hassan Al-Issawi, sponsored, on Tuesday evening, in the Al-Baaj area, Mafraq Governorate, the Al-Sharaa clan’s celebration of national holidays, in the presence of Mafraq Governor Firas Abu Qaoud, former Minister Saad Jaber, and a number of sheikhs, notables and people of the region.
The celebration began with a presentation on the development process that Jordan has witnessed since independence, and the achievements achieved during the reign of His Majesty King Abdullah II in various development fields and sectors, and their repercussions on various regions of the Kingdom.
The organizer of the ceremony, Sheikh Amjad Nada Al-Sharaa, expressed the tribe’s pride in the Hashemite leadership, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, and their continued efforts in serving the nation and promoting the process of progress and construction.
Sheikh Nayef Nada Al-Sharaa spoke about the significance of the national holidays that Jordanians celebrate during this period, namely Independence Day, the anniversary of the Great Arab Revolt, and Army Day, stressing that they are national occasions that embody the journey of the Jordanian state and the values of freedom, sovereignty, and belonging.
He pointed out that independence was a turning point in the history of Jordan, embodying the will of the Jordanians to build their modern state and consolidate its sovereignty, while the Great Arab Revolt launched by Sharif Hussein bin Ali, may God rest his soul, represented the beginning of an Arab renaissance project based on the values of liberation and dignity and confronting injustice and tyranny.
Al-Sharaa stressed that the Arab Army and the security services constitute the basic pillar in protecting the nation, preserving its security and stability, and preserving its national unity, praising the sacrifices and efforts they make for the sake of Jordan and its people.
He reiterated the Jordanians’ rally behind their Hashemite leadership, their adherence to national constants, and the continuation of work and giving to serve the nation and preserve its achievements.
The celebration included patriotic poetry recitals presented by poets Nawaf Nada Al-Sharaa and Waad Al-Sharaa, in addition to heritage and poetry performances by the Samer Al Badia Central Band, and patriotic singing recitals performed by the artist Bashar Al-Sarhan and the Houran Band.
