Representatives of the Oguz han University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan took part in the 22nd International Conference CDIO 2026, which was held at the University of Liverpool, UK, from June 22 to 25.
The Turkmen delegation included Islam Orazov, senior lecturer at the Department of Cyber-Physical Systems, and Ahal Akgayev, director of the university’s Scientific and Technological Center, reports Turkmenistan: Golden Age.
The CDIO (Conceive–Design–Implement–Operate) initiative is an international collaboration platform aimed at developing innovative engineering education. This year, the major international forum brought together 157 representatives from 71 universities in 27 countries.
The main theme of the conference was “Improving Student Professional Development: Innovations in Assessment and Feedback.” Consequently, questions focused on developing students’ professional competencies in engineering education, implementing modern knowledge assessment methods, and improving the effectiveness of feedback systems.
Representatives of the Turkmen university presented reports, presenting the university’s scientific activities, research in the field of cyber-physical systems, modern technologies, and experience in developing engineering education.
They also took an active part in group sessions with representatives of the wider CDIO academic network.
