On June 25, a ceremony was held at the Japanese National Diet building in Tokyo to present the Turkmenistan Jubilee Medal “Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna” and a commemorative silver coin to Toshiaki Endo, former Chairman of the Japan-Turkmen Parliamentary Friendship League. The awards were presented on behalf of the Government of Turkmenistan by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A. Bayramov.
Welcoming speeches were delivered by A. Bayramov, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Eri Arfiya, and the new Chairman of the Japan-Turkmen Parliamentary Friendship League Shinpei Matsushita. In their speeches, they noted the high level of Turkmen-Japanese relations and Toshiaki Endo’s significant contribution to the development of interstate and interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
