In a scene that raises astonishment and questions, talk again about what some called “Black hole“, but this time in a different location under the Gamal Abdel Nasser Bridge in front of the Russian University in New Cairo, where a number of residents noticed the presence of an opening inside the bridge wall that was closed with a wooden door in circumstances that aroused the curiosity of passers-by and residents of the area.

During the past few days, residents of the area shared different stories about what lies behind this door, while a number of residents confirmed that there is a family consisting of five individuals residing inside this cavity located under the bridge, which raised a wide state of controversy and questions regarding the nature of living inside the place and the extent of its suitability for housing in the first place.
According to stories circulating among residents, the opening is not just an ordinary cavity inside the bridge’s body, but has turned into a closed space that is said to be used for residence, which has prompted many citizens to demand verification of the truth about what is happening inside the site, especially with increasing fears of it turning into an unsafe hotspot or a place outside the scope of supervision.
A number of residents expressed their concern about the situation continuing without resolution, noting that such sites may turn into dens of illegal practices over time or pose a danger to their residents and passers-by, demanding that the place be quickly inspected and to confirm the truth of the information being circulated.
The security authorities have already begun examining what is being circulated about the incident, and verifying the accuracy of the information regarding the presence of a family residing inside the hole, in order to determine the truth of the matter and take appropriate measures according to the results of the inspections and investigations.
This incident brings to mind similar incidents that some areas witnessed over the past years, when spaces under bridges or inside facilities were transformed into unofficial places of residence or hotspots that sparked controversy among residents, which makes quickly dealing with reports and verifying the facts necessary to maintain public safety.
