For those who do not plan to go to the sea this summer, Herzegovina hides a real natural treasure that in recent years attracts an increasing number of visitors seeking refreshment, peace and untouched nature.
It is about Drežnica, a picturesque place located between the mountain massifs of Čvrsnica and Čabulje. This is exactly where the Drežanka flows, a river known for its exceptionally clear and turquoise water that reminds many of exotic world destinations.
Arranged natural bathing areas, impressive mountain landscapes and crystal clear water create an environment that visitors often describe as one of the most beautiful natural oases in the country. During the summer, this area attracts families, nature lovers, hikers, photographers and all those who want to escape the city crowds and high temperatures.

A river that springs from the heart of the karst
Drežanka is about 21 kilometers long and represents the right tributary of the Neretva. Its catchment area stretches between Čvrsnica and Čabulja, and the river valley stretches in the west-east direction.
It springs from powerful karst springs at an altitude of 485 meters above sea level, while it flows into the Neretva near Donja Drežnica at about 112 meters above sea level. On its way, it receives several important tributaries, among them Meomača, Ledenica, Tisno and Ždilac.
The combination of cold mountain water, impressive Herzegovinian landscapes and preserved nature makes Drežnica one of the most beautiful summer destinations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
