LONDON – The Leipzig football club rejected Liverpool’s offer of almost 100 million euros for the Ivory Coast national team player Jen Diomande, British media reported today.
Liverpool are ready to send a new, improved offer to the German club for the Ivory Coast international, but no exact amount has been disclosed. Sky Sport states that Leipzig has determined compensation for Diomande, which amounts to around 130 million euros. Diomande (19) arrived in Leipzig last year from Leganes for 20 million euros, and for the German club he played 36 games and scored 13 goals with 10 assists. He has a contract with Leipzig until June 30, 2030.
Diomande is currently with the Ivory Coast national team at the World Cup. Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Manchester United and Bayern have also shown interest in the Ivory Coast national team player.
