Oil: the American barrel WTI below 70 dollars for the first time since the start of the war in the Middle East

Down since the signing last Wednesday of an agreement between Tehran And Washington to end the conflict, the barrel of West Texas Intermediate (WTI), for delivery in August, fell 4.25%, to $70.10 around 1:50 p.m. GMT (3:50 p.m. in Paris), after falling to $69.84.

That of North Sea Brentfor delivery the same month, had earlier plunged below 75 dollars, a level not reached since the start of the conflict.
