MINSK, 17 June (BelTA) – The lives of the children injured in a strike on a bus in Russia’s Bryansk Oblast are not in danger, and doctors have given a favorable prognosis, BelTA learned citing the Telegram channel of Governor of Russia’s Bryansk Oblast Yegor Kovalchuk.

“The father of one of the boys has arrived and is understandably very worried. I tried to reassure him. The boy who is currently in intensive care is with his mother, who was also traveling on the bus. Doctors’ forecasts are favorable, and the children’s lives are not at risk. A team of leading specialists from the Disaster Medicine Center, who specialize in injuries of this kind, including blast injuries and shrapnel wounds, will arrive shortly. If necessary, the children will be transferred to clinics in Moscow, but Bryansk medical personnel are doing everything possible,” the statement said.
According to the report, Belarusian specialists have already arrived in the town of Pochep, where 36 bus passengers who were not injured are currently staying.A temporary accommodation center was promptly set up for them, where all necessary conditions have been provided and psychologists are offering assistance.
