Three months after the presentation of the MacBook Neo model, Apple’s most affordable laptop continues to arouse great interest from users and technology analysts.
The device, which arrived on the market in March of this year, brings many features of the premium MacBook computer to the affordable laptop segment, with a starting price of $599.
Thanks to its Liquid Retina screen, aluminum case and macOS operating system, Neo is a serious competitor to many Windows models that are sold for less than $1,000.
It is particularly interesting that Apple does not see this device as a tool for professionals, but as an ideal choice for pupils, students and users who need the Internet, multimedia and everyday office tasks.
Design and performance beyond expectations
One of the biggest advantages of the MacBook Neo model is the build quality, since Apple did not give up the recognizable aluminum case even in the lower price range.
The laptop is available in four colors – silver, indigo, citrus and soft pink shade “blush”, which further distinguishes it from the competition.
Although it uses the A18 Pro chip, originally developed for the iPhone 16 Pro, and has 8 GB of RAM memory, tests show that it performs daily tasks such as browsing the Internet, working in documents, video streaming and communication without any problems.

The MacBook Neo breaks old Apple repair practices
Analysts point out that Apple has significantly increased the performance of its M-series processors in recent years, which is why average users no longer need high-end hardware for everyday work.
This is precisely why MacBook Neo represents an interesting compromise between price, quality and performance, and many already see it as one of the most attractive laptops in the budget category during 2026.
